It’s a busy and complicated world in which we live. Many people today long for peace and stability but think it’s simply out of reach.
At Holy Cross we believe peace can be found in the promises of God. The Bible says that it’s possible to know a peace that passes understanding through Jesus Christ. God even promises to guard our hearts and minds as we face the demands of life. What a promise!
At Holy Cross you’ll find the peace of Christ expressed in our worship and life together. Our church is a place to experience the beauty of God’s holiness through a form of worship which has stood the test of time.
Since 1873 the Reformed Episcopal Church has remained faithful to the inerrant word of God, powerfully proclaiming the unchanging Gospel of Jesus Christ and worshiping Him in Spirit and in Truth using the biblical and time-honored Book of Common Prayer.
In short, we are biblical, evangelical and liturgical. We are biblical because we submit to the authority of Scripture as the written Word of God. We are evangelical because it is our priority to share the good news of Jesus Christ. We are liturgical because we believe that an established pattern actually helps us to focus on God as the object of our worship. We find that the Holy Spirit ministers powerfully through Word and Sacrament within this historic and biblical form.
Jesus said, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28 ESV). That invitation still stands. Come find rest for your soul.
You are welcome whether or not you have a church background. Come and experience the difference regular worship can make in your week and in your life!
